Mice — Dream Meaning
Mice are small, quick and easy to overlook, and that's the key to most mouse dreams. Where rats tend to stand for betrayal and serious threats, mice usually point to small worries, quiet annoyances or feeling small yourself.
Small worries. A mouse scurrying across the floor is often read as a minor concern that keeps popping up, perhaps a niggling task or a doubt you haven't addressed. Many mice can reflect lots of little stresses adding up.
Timidity. 'Quiet as a mouse' and 'mousy' capture another reading: feeling shy, overlooked or unable to speak up. Dreaming that you are a mouse, or tiny next to others, can point to feeling insignificant or intimidated.
Hidden problems. Mice live behind walls and under floors, so they can reflect something going on out of sight, a problem quietly developing.
Catching or chasing mice. Trapping a mouse suggests dealing with a small problem before it grows. A cat chasing a mouse can point to a cat-and-mouse situation, a power imbalance or someone toying with you.
Cute or pet mice. A friendly or white mouse can be gentler, linked to modesty, attention to detail or small pleasures. In stories, mice are often clever underdogs who succeed despite their size.
Being afraid of a mouse. Fear out of proportion to a tiny mouse can reflect overreacting to a small problem, or anxiety that feels bigger than its cause.
Something to consider. What small thing keeps catching your attention? Are you making yourself smaller than you need to be?

Is dreaming about mice a bad sign?
Not necessarily. Dream symbol meanings in this tradition are rarely simply good or bad — mice dreams are usually read through metaphor and the context of the dream (and your life) rather than as a straightforward omen. Treat the interpretation above as a starting point for reflection, not a prediction.
Why do I keep dreaming about mice?
A recurring dream symbol often points to an ongoing situation, feeling, or unresolved question in waking life rather than a one-off detail. Traditional dream interpretation treats repetition as reinforcement of the symbol's core meaning — worth paying attention to, rather than a separate signal on its own.
