A Rainbow — Dream Meaning
A rainbow appears when sunlight meets rain, beauty that comes out of a storm. It is one of the most loved sights in nature, and we say that every cloud has a silver lining. In dreams it almost always carries hope, promise and a sense that something difficult is ending.
Seeing a rainbow after rain suggests recovery and better times ahead after a hard period. It can bring a feeling of relief and reassurance, as if the weather in your life is changing.
A vivid, complete rainbow points to harmony, joy and things coming together, and the full arc across the sky can reflect feeling whole.
A faded or broken rainbow may reflect hope that feels fragile, or promises not fully kept. It can also appear when you are cautious about trusting good news.
A double rainbow is often read as extra good fortune or a sign of transformation, and many people find it deeply moving.
Chasing a rainbow or looking for the pot of gold can reflect pursuing a dream that feels just out of reach. It can be inspiring, but it is worth checking whether the goal is realistic or whether the chase itself is what you enjoy.
Walking or standing under a rainbow suggests feeling blessed, protected or part of something larger, while a rainbow in a dark sky highlights a spark of hope against a difficult background.
Rainbows carry spiritual meaning in many traditions. In the Bible a rainbow is a sign of promise after the flood, in Norse myth it is a bridge between worlds, and in Irish folklore the pot of gold at its end is guarded by a leprechaun. A modern meaning of diversity and pride has been added to this long list, so the symbol can also express belonging and acceptance.
